Duties/Responsibilities:
The teacher is responsible for the following:
- Teaching Primary and secondary Music.
•Leading different performance groups within the school - band, choir.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the Expressive Arts and music curriculum.
- Communicating regularly with parents.
- Be an active and contributing member of the School.
•Participating in the full range of professional activities in the school.
- Actively contributing to the operational needs of the school.
- Teaching qualifications.
- Qualifications in the area of Music Education.
- Experience as a teacher.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to establish rapport with adults and students.
- The ability to work effectively in a team
- A pleasant and friendly personality.
- The ability to function effectively under pressure.
- The ability to show initiative and work independently.
Qualifications, Attributes and Experience the teacher is expected to have:
It would be desirable for the successful applicant to have a working knowledge/experience of the Middle Years Programme or its equivalent.
Experience working with students from diverse cultures and countries would be an advantage.

ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
School Nurse

SIS is looking for a full time school nurse. The position is permanent and the successful candidate will start in August 2010.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Nurse is responsible for the following:
- Professional level medical care for students
- Health records for all students
- Providing recommendations regarding the health and well-being of students to the administration
- Health assessment testing (vision, hearing, scoliosis, growth and weight)
- Monitoring immunization according to Swedish legal requirements
- Ensuring that the operation of the health services in the school meet Swedish health requirements
• Administering emergency care and first aid to students and staff
Assisting in the organisation and implementation of specific education programmes (e.g. nutrition, exercise, puberty)
- Organising first aid training for staff
- Assisting the school's administration with regard to health education in the school
- Formal qualifications in nursing equivalent to a university degree
Qualifications, Attributes and Experience
The Nurse is expected to have:
• Registration as a nurse in Sweden
Use English as the working language
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organisational skills (able to self-manage time and meet commitments on time).
- Excellent communication skills (liaising with students, parents, staff and administrators).
- The ability to show initiative and work independently.
- A sense of humour.
- The ability to work as part of a team that consists of the Dean of Students as well as the school counselor.
- An affinity for children
• A pleasant and friendly personality
The position is full time and permanent.
