Books! Books! Books!

New donations keep coming in! 

We have received a donation of German books from the twins Ann-Kathrin and Marie-Sophie Schramm, Grade 4 and a donation of English books from Emma Williams, 7c. 

Besides, I would like to thank the PTA for their generous donations. Please find attached to this mail a list of new books in English along with books in additional languages.

Dear Teachers,

Please inform/remind your students that Week 15 (12th of April -15^th of April) is a Silent Reading Week.

Clarification for the new teachers:

Silent Reading Week is a week when students and staff read for pleasure. Everyone in the building reads for 30 minutes simultaneously each day in the morning.

So, we will be reading between 8.40 and 9.10 starting on Monday, the 12^th of April.

Students should not be going to the library during this time, although students may come on Monday to get books if they have not yet done so. They may borrow books both before and after 8.30-9.10, but not during.

A reminder: An Australian writer, Steven Herrick will be visiting us on Monday, 19^th April 2010. He will be in school between 8.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. There are books by him to borrow in the library.
