It is said that a Library is the heart of any educational establishment. The Library is the major provider of high quality information resources. But how does one find one’s way through that jungle of information? How does one use these resources? These are the questions that have answers. I see our school’s library as a place where students learn and develop information seeking strategies.
As the new school librarian I intend to continue implementing information problem-solving models such as Big6 Skills and Super3 that were introduced at the school last year. This position provides me with a wonderful opportunity to positively influence the lives of students, as well as use my experience and academic background for the benefit of the library.
Our library staff is available to assist with reference and other informational questions. If there are specific ways we can assist with your learning, teaching, and research needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The LMC is open for the whole SIS community, and welcomes all students and parents to take full advantage of its collections. We look forward to seeing you at the library.
