Homework forms an important part of the academic programme for students. It reinforces work done at school and develops important skills of self-study and self-discipline. The amount and type of homework depends upon the grade level of the student.
The following is a guideline for homework time but should not be taken as definite:

8 30 min/subject or 80 min/night
9 30 min/subject or 90 min/night
10 40 min/subject or 120 min/night
11 According to programme, but around 15 hours a week
12 According to programme, but around 15 hours a week
Homework must be balanced against all of the other factors impinging on a student's life out of school.
