Fees 2010-2011

Application Fee: SEK 1,500 (1 Child)
                                SEK 2,500 (2 Children)
                                SEK 3,500 (3 Children +)

The Application Fee is a mandatory fee paid at the time of application. It is not refundable even if the child is not accepted at SIS. Please contact the Head of Admissions for information regarding how to pay the application fee.

New Enrolment Fee: SEK 27,000

This is a onetime fee charged the first year the child attends SIS.

Building Fund Fee: SEK 8,500/child (max. 18,500/family) 

The Building Fund Fee is paid once and the money is devoted to the upkeep of our buildings and grounds.

Early Years Programme
Grade 0 (Prep): SEK 93,000 per year

Lower School
Grade 1 - 5: SEK 135,000 per year

Upper School
Grade 6 - 7: SEK 150,000 per year
Grade 8 - 9: SEK 160,000 per year
Grade 10 - 12: SEK 185,000 per year

*Please note:   The Swedish government subsidy ("Skolpeng") will be deducted from the Annual tuition fee.  The subsidy varies from commune to commune and the amount also depends on what grade the  child is in. It can also change from one term to the next. During the school year 2009 -10 this subsidy covered between 35 to 50 % of the annual tuition fee.  
This only applies to students who are entitled to "Skolpeng".

Financial Conditions 2010-2011

  • 1. Fees are to be paid by term. Fees are to be paid in full within 30 days net. SIS will invoice twice a year with 50% yearly fees due per term.
  • 2. All outstanding Fees must be settled prior to registration for the next term. If outstanding fees have not been settled before the end of term, placement at the school can not be guaranteed for the following term.
  • 3. An application fee of SEK 1,500 (1 child), SEK 2,500 (2 children), SEK 3,500 (3 children) is payable at the time of initial application. This fee is not refundable.
  • 4. Students are enrolled for the complete term and we are not able to reduce or refund fees for delayed entry, absence or withdrawal.
  • 5. There is no refund of tuition and fees for instructional days lost due to reasons beyond the school's control.
  • 6. To obtain the government subsidies, families must be registered with the Swedish Taxation Authority and have a valid home address. It is the parent's/guardians responsibility to register with the tax authority and not the school. Late announcements in change of home address may result in loss of government subsidies.
  • 7. Non payment of fees will result in children being withdrawn from the school.
  • 8. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to adjust these fees as necessary.
  • 9. Upon acceptance to the school an invoice for the New Enrollment Fee will be sent. Failure to pay this fee within set time will result in loss of space at SIS.
  • 10. A late withdrawal fee will incurr if families fail to notify the school within one month of withdrawing. The late withdrawal fee of 25% will be charged based upon the annual tuition fee.
