Admissions

Application Procedure

Acceptance to The Stockholm International School is based on the applicants:

  • Willingness to share in an international culture and hence uphold to the educational values and visions of the Stockholm International School,
  • Past and present academic performance. The applying student must be in good standing academically and respected by his/her peers and teachers as a member of the school community.

Students wishing to apply to the Stockholm International School must provide the following information:

  • Completed Application Form
  • A school transcript from current school attended highlighting last 3 academic years,
  • Completed Principal's Official Recommendation Form,
  • A copy of the students passport. If you are a Diplomatic Family a copy of the passport and visa are required for all family members.
  • Completed Student Medical Record,
  • Copy of Students Immunization Record
  • Received payment of application fee. Information regarding the application fees can be found on our website: Application fee

The application fee can be paid by Bank Transfer or by Bankgiro(160-2705) if you have a Swedish Bank account. For Bank Transfer details please contact our Head of Admissions via Email.

An application will be accepted and placed on the waitlist only after the application fee is received. If you have paid the application fee, the completed application documentation must be received at the school within 21 days.

The Admissions Office will review each application and confirm an interview to meet at the school and to discuss the application and visit classes. While we understand that it is not always possible for overseas families to arrange an admissions interview at the School, it is always preferable to do so.

The Admissions Committee meets regularly to review all applications and decisions on students' acceptance are communicated to families by email or telephone once a place at the school can be confirmed. Review of the applications takes time. Students are admitted as spaces become available.

Please note that if we have not received a full application within two weeks of receipt of the first application document, priority will be given to other candidates. There is no deadline for the submission of applications but we recommend that you send in your application as early as possible.

Applicants with Special Needs

Parents or guardians of any applicant having a mild special need (either physical or academic) must submit complete reports from his/her teacher and therapist with the application.

Stockholm International School is not equipped to accommodate students with severe academic or physical handicaps.

In the case where a special need has not previously been identified, the School reserves the right to review the situation in order to assess the appropriateness of the student's presence in the School based on our capacity to address his/her needs.

If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Teri Al Fakir-Williams, Head of Admissions.
